Our Experience
One of the best walks we’ve done, a stunning loop which takes you through ancient forest breaking out into the mountain and up to the lakes. We’ve done this several times both in summer and winter and it never disappoints!
Notes
You can do the route in either direction. From Chirolet to Lac Bleu starts with some picturesque forest then a pretty steep climb to Lac Bleu. Chirolet to Lac D'Ourrec is a bit easier. However between the lake is a Col which has to be crossed and can be a challenge for already tired legs! There is quite a bit of water but take plenty, especially on hot days.
