Maison de Haouret is a beautiful Maison de Maître set in 3.5 hectares of park, orchards and fields in one of the most tranquil and secluded parts of Haute Pyrénées.
The perfect getaway to reset and connect with nature - there are birds of prey, deer, hares and lots of other wildlife. As we are on the edge of the Pic du Midi International Starry Sky Reserve (RICE), the stars are breathtaking. Lie by the pool on a clear night and you will see what we mean!
Lannemezan, Galan and Trie-Sur-Baïse are nearby with bakeries, restaurants, shops and lovely weekly markets. The Pyrénées is within easy reach for stunning walks, cycle rides and winter sports. A little further away is the Atlantic coast and the chic surf town of Biarritz, just a two hour drive if you’re looking for some beach time.
The House
Built around 1890, our Maison de Maître has been lovingly renovated whilst retaining many period features. Throughout, we have used a mix of traditional and contemporary furniture and artwork to create a warm and welcoming home.

Our master bedroom with views over the courtyard and swimming pool. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and a roll top bath.
The guest kitchen is fully equipped. If you need anything else, just ask!

There are four beautiful double rooms available for our guests, all with en-suite bathrooms. We have super comfortable beds with memory foam mattresses and feather pillows and duvets. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.
The stunning loft apartment consists of two double rooms (rooms 3 and 4) connected by a studio with TV lounge with 140 cm television, Apple TV and HomePod speaker.
All bedrooms have access to a guest kitchen and the entire house can be hired if you plan a holiday with all your family or friends.

James and Lu were the perfect hosts - very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The setting is tranquil; a beautifully restored and maintained farmhouse with original features but modern facilities with extensive grounds and excellent pool area. We loved the home grown fruit and vegetables from the potager. Delicious breakfast with home made bread and jams.

Lucia and James were fantastic, they were so accommodating even before we arrived as with flight delays we didn’t arrive until 1.30am but had set up everything ready for our arrival so we knew where we were going. The property was fantastic and just what we needed but the real stand out was the meal cooked for us on Sunday! James cooked us up a fantastic curry which hit the spot and sorted out our sore heads from the night before (with the help of a few glasses of wine) - if you are ever staying make sure to book in a meal.
